The gentleman was found safe and well at Meadfoot Beach. |

Broadcast and Communication Search action was taken when concern was expressed for the safety of Yacht XSTATIC with 5 POB on passage from St Peter Port, Guernsey to Plymouth. Just prior to tasking SAR units the yacht made contact by mobile telephone confirming safety. The back stay of the main mast parted thus slowing their passage. Also the VHF radio had failed. |

Torbay RNLI Lifeboat and Berry Head Coastguard were tasked after a MALE was reported to have jumped into the water close to Berry Head. 2 members of public brought him out of the water and Coastguards administered CPR with Ambulance Paramedics. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police also attended. |
