Devon and Cornwall Police and Police Helicopter carried out an extensive search of the area from Churston to Broadsands for a missing 13 year old GIRL. Search terminated when the girl turned up safe and well at home. |

The launch was located by Berry Head Coastguard on the rocks and dried out at Shoalstone Beach, Brixham. |

Torbay RNLI All Weather Lifeboat evacuated a 37yr old MALE from the fishing vessel HARINGVLIET, BM218. He suffered a severed thumb whilst 12nm East of Berry Head. Torbay Coastguard and Ambulance met the casualty at Haldon Pier and transferred him to Torbay Hospital. |

Torbay Coastguard proceeded, Torbay RNLI Lifeboat and Coastguard Rescue Helicopter were alerted to a swimmer in difficulty off Goodrington beach, Paignton. The youth and his friend made shore unaided and were met by Coastguards who gave safety advice. |

An investigation was carried out to try and ascertain the owners of the dog HARVEY. Indications were that the dog had come from a vessel visiting the area. Berry Head Coastguard investigated the Brixham Harbour area with nothing untoward found. |
