2006 Call Outs Up To

  April has seen quite a rise in the number of incidents attended to by both the teams including a successful search for a missing elderly male who's medical condition was cause for concern. The missing person was eventually spotted from the air by the RAF SAR helicopter from Chivenor on Torquay Sea Front. A Coastguard team was dispatched to intercept and confirm the identity of the gentleman. They found him confused but well (He was the only person in a crowd of people, not taking any notice of a Sea King helicopter hovering just 50ft above him!) After confirmation the CG team took the man to Torbay Hospital for a check up and then later returned him to a very grateful wife.
